I found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Sam - VA's Info...

I am already neutered, purebred, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Sam - VA's Story...
Sam, Sammy, Sam D'man, Bubba, Booger, Hey-you.... my foster mom sure has a lot of nicknames for me, but that's OK. I have the doxie-moxie personality to go with 'em all she says.

Life hasn't been easy for me. I found myself in rescue 2 years ago when my first family could no longer care for me. The nice rescue folks found me a great new home, but when I hurt a disc in my back a few weeks ago, my second family knew the rescue was better able to help me get back on my feet... so here I am, once again looking for a home of my own.

Foster mom says I am doing great, but I still can't quite get my back feet moving and walk voluntarily. I can stand to eat and wag my tail with *gusto*, an amazing feat for someone who only had surgery on Jan 24 and was as injured as I was. My vet and foster mom say they are confident I will walk again, but it will take time and they wish I had more patience.

I think "patience" is just a code would for somehow enjoying the silly exercises they make me do, but since treats are involved... Dr G can stick as many acupuncture needles in me as she likes. Just keep those Pupperoni tidbits coming I say.

Because I am so handsome, my adoption fee is $225... quite the bargain for a stunning bundle of longhair doxie love. Valentine, won't you be mine? For more information about me, email Katie at katie_wehner@hotmail.com.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sam - VA, a Jacobus Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Jacobus, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Jacobus.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jacobus already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jacobus breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jacobus paves the way for another one to be saved.
