for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Boris's Info...

I am already neutered, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Boris's Story...
Found as a stray, Boris is a handsome, loving boy, who eagerly seeks attention and enamors all he meets! Boris loves to be petted, purrs constantly, and has "happy feet" even while he walks. With very nice house manners, Boris will make an easy companion for some lucky adopter. He is gentle with children, giving kisses on hands, arms, cheeks... anything made available to this sweet boy! Boris is just so grateful to be safe and loved!

As is protocol for the rescue, all cats and kittens are tested for FIV and Felv prior to intake, and Boris' FIV test came back positive. This test result could mean that he was previously vaccinated for FIV (as that would cause a positive test result for the rest of his life), or it could mean that he is either a carrier for FIV, or has the virus (but is asymptomatic). To err on the side of caution, we recommend any adopter assume that the result is not due to the vaccine, and as such, Boris would need to be the only cat in a household. Boris is fully vetted, and ready to find his FORever Home!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Boris, a Marietta Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
