Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Are you looking for you new BFF (Beagle Friend Forever)? Well, look no further! I’m Darcy, a young pup just waiting for someone to love. I am smart, friendly, affectionate, and very good-looking! I like to give you kisses. I know “sit” and I always sit nice for my treats. I am now learning “stay.”
When I am feeling playful I love to tear around the house and chase toys or my foster brother. Foster mom says I need to come clean and admit to leaping onto the back of the couch when she’s not looking. I’ve been known to hop from ground to couch cushion to back of couch, sailing over the arm before she can say “No, Darcy!” But hey, girls just wanna have fun, right?
I really am a good girl though. I know to go potty outside, I’m not destructive and I don’t chew on your slippers or furniture. If you are busy, I can entertain myself with my toys. I also settle down very nicely after I’m done playing and I love to snuggle on the couch. I sleep through the night in my crate, and stay in there when my foster parents are gone. Even though I like to run and play, I am really more medium energy. I get along well with my canine siblings—the male beagle here and I like to play chase and wrestle. I think it is SO much fun, I would love to have a 4-legged friend to play with me in my forever home. The female terrier here is always crabby and growls at me, but I keep inviting her to play with me. I know she’ll give in soon. Sometimes I don’t like to share my toys, but I’m not mean about it.
Note from Darcy’s foster mom: Darcy is a great young dog. She has the playfulness of a pup, yet is housetrained, crate trained, and not at all destructive. She’s small, only 16-17 pounds, though she could probably stand to put on a pound or two. She is pretty quiet, and when she does vocalize she rarely howls, it’s more of a hoarse little bark (quite cute, actually). She seems to get along with everyone she has met. I will be attempting to cat test her this weekend. Please inquire about Darcy. She would love to be your BFF!
