2/17/14 ADOPTED!!!! GO JUNO!!!!!

Juno... What can we tell you about this beautiful boy...

He is 7 yrs young (!), was bought as a puppy and shipped to the US from Europe. He was out for a walk with his owners and they were attacked/charged by a little dog who was NOT on a leash and Juno defended his owner. But... being that Juno is so big, the wee one didn't make it. By the way, Juno was on a leash. Juno was deemed vicious (NOT) and the owners were forced to get rid of him. Rather than put him down (for no good reason), they decided to turn him over to a "sanctuary" where he could live out his yrs.

It turned out, this place was a sentence worse than death The animals were kept in containment too small for them and for the most part never got out to potty or exercise, fed twice a week/ tainted food with maggots, just a living nightmare. The "sanctuary" was closed down in 2013 after arduous work on the part of people who became aware of this atrocity and a rescue in NY. We were contacted as only one of the over 100 dogs was a great dane, Juno.

In the time we have had him, he has gained weight and come out of his shell. He is a very handsome, happy gent who is learning to love life again! He needs a family to take him for walks and give him a couch to languish on and a yard to thunder in!!! Will that be you???

Please call the rescue to arrange a meeting with this incredible boy. 623 869-0409 Dane Line. If you would like to help with his care while he is in rescue plz go to our homepage and click on the Donate button. We appreciate the help.
