Lady is a super sweet female chocolate brown Mastiff/Boxer/Great Dane mystery mix. She is 2-3 yrs old, has all her shots and is spayed.

Lady is such a precious girl that just wants love! She will roll on her back for belly rubs, and she LOVES her neck and chest scratched. She loves treats, and is very people pleasing. She also enjoys playing fetch and has been particularly fond of her tennis ball. She actually has an “ear-to-ear” smile when she gets really excited.

Lady is a darling, affectionate dog who was rescued as an underweight stray from Southern California. She is currently in a foster home where she has gained weight and is enjoying the chance to learn about real love! Her initial beginnings were unknown, but she currently does show signs of being leery in busy / new environments.

She loves, loves, loves all dogs, but needs time warming up to some people. She's usually great with women, but can be uncertain about meeting unknown men (her current foster is a male and she is doing great with him, so she can definitely be happy in a home with a man after proper introductions etc).

Lady is house broken, and is being crate trained to work on becoming more comfortable being left alone. She bonds strongly to her person and is not happy when left alone for long stretches, so she would do best ideally with an adopter who only works part time or is home a lot (possibly even retired).

Her foster dad loves her, but he can't keep her forever, even though she is so sweet and loving and he wishes he could. He says she loves long hikes in the lovely woods around his house, but doesn't much care for crowded, noisy weekends at the beach. She is a girl that would prefer spending time enjoying the tranquility of nature. She definitely is a dog who needs her exercise, so she will require regular leashed walks/jogs.

She should have an owner who is patient and understands that this may be the first time she has someone to keep her safe and loved when out in the world. She will appreciate Lots of positive reinforcement and belly rubs and ears scratches, and she may even give you one of her famous smiles.
