My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Maggie!

Maggie came into our home on 10/03/2013 as a very shy girl. She was unable to stay with her family because of unforeseen circumstances.
She has gradually come out of her shell and is a very sweet 11-year-old cocker spaniel, border collie mix.
She loves to be in the room with you and will follow you around the house but will stay to the side watching you;
unless you're in the kitchen and drop something, then she will take care of that for you.
She is treat-motivated and loves to go outside.
I would recommend a fenced-in yard if in town but she has run loose in our giant back yard in the country.
Her recall is great with treats and not so great without them. She loves to go for walks with the other dogs out back.
Then I use treats and she comes when called pretty well.
My two dogs, Eli and Ginger, are about as laid back as you can get. Maggie just does not know how to play with them.
A couple of attempts have been made but she does not know what to do next. When they play, she watches.
She would probably do best in a home where she could be alpha or by herself.
My 13-year-old granddaughter came in and picked her right up.
She did nothing but look at me with big eyes, like "what the heck is this?".
Not sure toddlers would be wise, but she does tolerate Ginger bouncing around her, with only a little snarl.
We can test her with cats if needed but have not because weather has been brutal.
Maggie is a special little girl with a few quirks.
She needs a wonderful forever family that will take care of her for the rest of her life.
She deserves that kind of love…
