Shane is a Basenji mix that is about a little less than 2 years old. He came to us from our Newark facility in search of a wonderful new home after he was picked up as a stray when he was still a puppy. That was way back in February, 2014, and this sweetheart has been searching ever since for his special someone. Shane is a young, bright, puppyish kind of guy that just loves life. He's very happy-go-lucky and outgoing too. Shane makes friends very easily and although he seems a little unsure of strangers from afar, once you approach him and he gives you a sniff or two, he'll act as if you're old friends. He really loves people and just wants to go for a walk with you, play a game of fetch, and just get some attention. He is strong and energetic, so Shane would love a home with a nice yard to run and play in. He would be a perfect addition to an active family that will give him exercise and the great home that he's dreaming of. Shane gets along well with most female dogs that he meets, but prefers a home with no cats.
