Ricky's Story...
This is Ricky. He is 9 months as of 1/24/14 and is an absolute delight. Ricky is a very vocal little boy and is always the first one to ask for playtime! Ricky loves to "catch" his toys and walk around with them in his mouth! He also plays fetch!! He's very frisky and will hang from his cage to get your attention. He's great with the other cats and loves to cuddle. He is house trained, litter box trained, up to date with all his shots, tested and neutered.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ricky, a East Meadow Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in East Meadow, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in East Meadow.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in East Meadow already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a East Meadow breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in East Meadow paves the way for another one to be saved.
