My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

COLE is an 8 month old black neutered male. He weighs 38 pounds but could stand to gain about 5 more. He is never going to be a huge guy. This little boy needs some labrador loving. Cole is very shy, but does not have a mean bone in his body. He will need a little time and love to build trust, but treats help! Vets should go slowly with him so he can relax. He is not used to the leash, may never have been on one before. Harness/easy walk recommended. He is eating well, appears to be house trained and takes treats very gently. He is approved for kids 10 and up.

Cole would prefer a calm loving home -- a busy, loud environment will push him further into shyness. He likes to be around other dogs, he was happy hanging out with a small pup.

From LR evaluator: I used soft treats to say hi; sat on the floor just talking and giving him pieces of treats. He started to relax, he kept looking at me like, "Hey lady, I want you to kiss me!" I leaned over and picked his snuggle butt up -- into my lap he went! Within two minutes, he fell fast asleep... 5 minutes later he was snoring. :) He is shy, but will come around. No touch issues. He doesn't pull away when getting attention, he wants more of it. After I put him down on a blanket, he gave me kisses.
