Joanie's Story...
Joanie is a sweet female guinea pig who is looking for love and a caring home.
She is still a little shy, and she would very much like a patient adopter who would let her bloom at her own pace. This amazing girl is a very established decorator- she will make windows in her straw house, feng shui the cage in a minute, and move the food dish to wherever she feels works the best dependent on the light.
She loves cilantro and basil and just about looses her head when she sees you coming with lettuce.
Are you who she is looking for? Will you give her the family she dreams of?

She is spayed and a little under a year. If you're interested in adopting this adorable little sweetheart, get in touch adopt@emptycagescollective.org or 1.800.880.2684

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Joanie, a Brooklyn Guinea Pig was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Guinea Pig for sale in Brooklyn, or seeking a Guinea Pig from a breeder in Brooklyn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brooklyn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brooklyn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Guinea Pig breeders who help with Guinea Pig rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brooklyn paves the way for another one to be saved.
