Sally and Kaylee are a bonded pair of 4-5 year olds. They are possibly sisters, or maybe mother and daughter. They were brought to a shelter by a rescuer, who found them dumped in her fenced yard. They are shy, and appear to have lived in kennels all their lives, possibly used for breeding. They have both been mommas in their recent past.
The girls are now learning how to be loved and cherished house dogs. They are trying to learn how to walk on leash and are trying to learn how to use the doggy door to improve their house training.
They are sweet, and want to cuddle. Kaylee, especially, takes a few minutes to relax when cuddling. They do like to be wherever their human is so they can watch what you are doing all the while their little tails are wagging.
The girls love to sleep in the bed with their humans at night. They get along with other dogs and with cats.
Sally is the more playful of the two, but they both are beginning to play more. Kaylee appears to be the mother or at least the leader. Sally is a follower and Kaylee is the brave girl..
Kaylee is slightly larger than Sally at about 16 pounds and 14 inches tall. Sally is about 15 pounds and about 13 inches tall. They have been spayed, teeth cleaned and brought up to date on vaccines.
They do love to be together where one is the other is very close by.
Kaylee and Sally have beautiful Bichon coats, and curly tails. They are very good with their grooming, allowing everything from bathing to nail trims and coat trimming!!
Cute stuff: they dance for their food & treats! First thing they do in the morning, when they come out if the crate, is stand on their back feet, put their front feet up on my leg, tails a-wagging, and smile & grin, to say good morning! Kaylee likes to come up to where I'm sitting, & put a paw up on me to say hi. Sally likes to just keep an eye on me. Kaylee will jump up on the bed to snuggle some nights, when I don't crate them for the night. Sally prefers to sleep beside the bed, but if I pick her up, will curl up & sleep. She is more nervous about being approached and picked up, but will happily come to me on her own terms for petting.
Kaylee loves to run in the yard, & sometimes Sally joins her in a jolly "Bichon Blitz"!
These two fluffs are waiting for their "forever home" and are being fostered in TX
