My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Luci is a 2 year old, spayed female, red brindle Pit Bull mix. In February 2013, she was found injured in a field, believed to be hit by a car and had to be carried into the Rancho Cucamonga Animal Shelter by the field officers. She was patched up by the shelter vet and only has a couple of small bald patches of hair on her hips and face that remain from the incident. After six long months in a cage alone at the shelter, the management decided her time was up. Since she was a favorite, a volunteer contacted Labs and Friends.Org to ask if they could save her life. Labs and Friends.Org agreed and with the help of the volunteer, who offered to foster her, rescued her out of her lonely cage on death row at the shelter. Luci is currently being fostered with two other dogs (male and female) about her size and is doing great. She is a very sweet, smart and obedient girl. She knows “sit” and “down” and is working with her foster mom on “stay”. She also loves to run through her agility tunnel. Her foster mom thinks she can learn anything with enough patience and treats. At times Luci can be very sensitive, she even puts herself in time out when she is corrected. She is extremely affectionate with men, woman and children. She loves her walks where she is being introduced to new sights and smells. One of her favorite past times is sunbathing in the yard and she loves going for car rides. She would do best in a home without small dogs or cats with an owner who can spend plenty of time with her. Luci is looking for a forever home who will love her always and take care of her for the rest of her life. Luci had such a rough start to life she deserves to never have to worry anymore. Are you the home Luci is looking for? Please email for an application to: info@labsandfriends.org
