Facts about Elle

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Black (All)
  • Age: Young
  • Sex: Female
  • ID#: 6634845-3395A MB
  • Hair: Short

A beauty without a doubt, Elle, is a sweet young kitty. She will roll into a tight curl with obvious delight when being petted. Elle is timid but don't let her initial shyness fool you. She is full of love and playfulness once she is comfortable. Elle is quite athletic and can jump and do amazing flips when chasing interactive toys. She makes it look effortless! Elle was rescued with her brothers as feral kittens in the Fruitvale neighborhood in Oakland along with their mom in January 2013. She would do best in a home with another cat to be her buddy and/or perhaps a cat-friendly and calm dog who likes to snuggle with a kitty. Elle will start out shy in a new home so will need a patient family to help him transition and settle in. For that reason, she would do best in an adult, quiet home environment. Estimated date of birth is mid-Nov 2012. Bio# 3395A MB

About Island Cat Resources and Adoption (ICRA)

About Our Rescue Group...

ICRA is an all volunteer non-profit organization dedicated to reducing the suffering of the abandoned cat population of Alameda and Oakland, and to educate people to their plight. We provide foster homes for our rescues until we can place them into loving homes through our adoption program. On a limited basis, we humanely trap feral cats in order to spay/neuter them before releasing them back to their colonies. Our goal is to expand our program for maintaining cat colonies in our communities. To make this expansion possible, we need more volunteers.

Our Adoption Process...

Potential adopters pick out a cat or kitten and fill out an application.
There will be a short interview with one of our volunteers. Adoptions do not happen the same day. We will arrange a time to visit your home and the foster parents and a volunteer will meet there. Our adoption fee structure is:

  • Cats and kittens (six months to 8 years): $100
  • Cats (over 8 years): $75
  • Two cats: Full amount for the higher amount cat, half amount for the lower amount cat

    For example: a kitten and an adult would be: $100 + $50 = $150

Prior to Adoption all cats and kittens are:

  • Spayed or neutered
  • FeLV and FIV tested
  • FVRCP vaccinated
  • De-wormed, and
  • Treated for fleas with Advantage or Frontline
