My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Abbie is a sweet one year old Retriever/Beagle mix. She was surrendered to Friendship because her family was renting and their landlord wouldn't let them keep her. Abbie is a playful pup but is not fully trained. Her former family said she is house trained. Abbie is a little shy at first so please take it slow when you come to visit. This little lady is kid friendly but it's best if kids in the family are over 6 years of age.

On March 11, 2014, Abbie was selected to be one of Friendship's Prison Dogs. She is currently undergoing training at the Grafton Correctional Institute. Abbie is being trained in obedience, basic commands, manners and proper leash walking. She will spend approximately 12 weeks at the prison.

If you are interested in adopting a prison dog, adoption applications are now being accepted. They can be downloaded at www.friendshipapl.org under ADOPT-FIND A FRIEND. A limited amount of apps will be accepted for each Prison Dog. They must be hand delivered to Friendship. If you have any questions, please contact the shelter at 440-322-4321.
