Lily's Story...
Lily is a sweet little Chihuahua-Corgi mix who is approximately 5 years old and weighs 11 lbs 4 oz. Lily is a bit shy with people at first but soon warms right up to you, especially if you rub her ears and scratch around her neck. She had lots of other brothers and sisters when she came to us so we know she gets along with other dogs. If you have an empty lap, then Lily would love to take up residence there. Come by the Shelter to meet her and ask about our 55/5 program. She qualifies for that. This little lady is bound to steal your heart away. She would be a great travel companion because of her compact size. Unfortunately, she did test positive for heartworm. So she will need treatment for that and will also need to be spayed before going to her forever home with you. Calaveras Humane Society will treat Lily for heartworm.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lily, a San Andreas Chihuahua/Welsh Corgi dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Welsh Corgi for sale in San Andreas, or seeking a Chihuahua/Welsh Corgi dog from a breeder in San Andreas.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Andreas already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Andreas breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Welsh Corgi breeders who help with Chihuahua/Welsh Corgi rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Andreas paves the way for another one to be saved.
