My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sadie is a beautiful and well-behaved 10 month old German Shepherd & Boxer mix. She has a super nice personality and is great with people and other dogs. She weighs about 70 lbs and will probably fill out a bit as she matures. She is tall and long-bodied and lanky.

This lovely young lady has already been through basic obedience class and knows "sit," "wait," "down," and a few other basic commands. She is playful but not at all hyper and she is crate trained and very good about hanging out quietly in the crate when it is time.

Sadie comes to us through a different path than our usual. A good friend of Big Rock Rescue had helped another friend find homes for Sadie and her litter mate. Sadie landed in a great rural home. Unfortunately, that great rural home includes chickens and an older kitty. This big puppy girl just could not resist chasing the furry and feathery things so they had to rehome her.

Sadie's story is also unusual in that we know exactly who her mama and papa are so we are very confident that she is 1/2 Boxer (mama) and 1/2 German Shepherd Dog (papa).

PLEASE CONTACT S_SMITH_POLO@YAHOO.COM to learn more and to request an application for adoption. It is our goal to make a great match between your family and one of our wonderful dogs.

Adoption fees range from $200-$250 for dogs. THE DOGS SHOWN ON THE SITE ARE IN FOSTERCARE - WE DO NOT HAVE A SHELTER TO VISIT. EMAIL is the best way to reach us. We are a volunteer run, very small organization - so please be patient when waiting for a response, but feel free to check back in if you haven't heard from us in a day or so - thank you so much for considering a rescued pooch!
