My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chula was surrendered to our shelter with her 2 puppies because their owner was moving and could not afford to keep the dogs. Chula is 6 years old, and is a beautiful American Pit Bull. She is very friendly with people, and loves to play and spend time with our staff and volunteers, even when we want to play dress up with her!

Chula is very active and enjoys playing outdoors and going for walks in the woods on our dog trail. She enjoys her toys, and is very smart and knows how to sit, shake, lay down and roll over. She is leash trained and house broken as well. Chula is always eager to hang out with our staff and volunteers. Due to her higher energy, she will need a new home that can give her daily exercise through walking/hiking or have a fenced yard for her to run around and play in.

Chula has proven herself to be well behaved around children that we have introduced her to, as young as 3-5 years of age. She has also made a few new dog friends at the shelter that she does well playing with. We first thought she would never see eye to eye with other dogs but she has surprised us and become more easy going around dogs.

Chula has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, tested negative for Heartworm and Lyme Disease. She is ready to be adopted to a new home. If you are interested, please contact us or stop by and ask to meet her.

An approved adoption application is required to adopt an animal from our Humane Society. Our application form is available on our main website or by contacting us. We accept completed applications via email, postal mail or at our office when you plan a visit. Once we receive an application we will begin the review process. Contact us with any questions or visit our website for information about adoption
