My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Daphne is a sweet 8 year old female merle great dane. She is a loving and sweet senior who purrs when you love on her. She is doing fantastic in her foster and is waiting for the right family to allow her to live out the rest of her life in a loving forever environment.

Daphne is a sweet 8 year old merle female. She still has LOTS of love to her forever family! She is a wee bit overweight and could stand to loose a little bit of weight.

Daphne is potty trained and walks well on a leash with her gentle leader. She pulls at the beginning of her walks, but soon settles down after the initial surge of enthusiasm.

We haven't had any problems with counter surfing thus far. She spends most of the day napping. When she's very relaxed and happy - and getting pets - she'll even make a purring-type noise.

Daphne gets along with other animals, including dogs, cats and rabbits, although she's only sniffed the rabbit through the cage bars.

She is aware of outside noises and people passing, and she'll bark to alert you, but doesn't get carried away. Her foster is working on the "quiet" command. She knows "sit" and "down," and is working on "wait."
