My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Zanka. Young and gentle with soft loose charcoal colored jowls on a head that some may say is a bit too big and blocky. His brow is heavily furrowed like a field that has been deeply plowed; add coal black soulful eyes, and the take home look is sweet and even tempered. Leash walks, tugs of war and snuggle time are all things Zanka is keen to do if he can do them with his new human friends. Life on the streets has him a bit underweight at 40 pounds, but thankfully Zanka is heart worm negative. When outside at play, Zanka leaps, prances and dances with hula hips- happy to be out of the shelter, in a foster home and on track for a happily-ever-after. He is now taking applications hoping to find someone who will promise him he’ll never have to be on his own again

For information about Zanka, please contact his foster mom at (203) 570-8739, or come by the FOTA Adoption House at 8476 Highland Road. The Adoption House is open on weekdays from 1 to 6 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon. All dogs adopted through Friends of the Animals are current on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed or neutered prior to adoption.
