My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mr. Orville Wright aka “Ory”
DOB: ~ 8/15/12
Breed/Color: DSH/ Buff Tabby & White
Feline Purrsonality: Lovebug

Ory is a wonderful companion kitty. His foster family describes him as The Perfect Kitty. He is more interested in people than food. He is gentle with his paws and has never used his claws with his foster family, even when a tad nervous. He is a gentle soul, who plays with abandon, jumping high into the air to catch his feather toys and has been known to execute Olympic quality back-flips. After a short play session, he is content to just hang out and cuddle or nap at your feet. Ory has a fluffy and downy soft white belly that he loves to have rubbed. He rolls over to present his tummy for brief scratching sessions. He has a lovely purr and he trills when he greets you. He loves to talk to you, but his voice is soft and conversational, not demanding or insistent.

Ory's foster family says that he is a very well behaved boy. He doesn't scratch furniture or climb the drapes. He uses the litter pan every time and keeps his beautiful, soft coat immaculately clean. Presently, Ory is living the single life and enjoys time in his own bedroom, sitting on the window pillow perch, hanging out on the tall kitty tower or playing with his numerous toys and scratching pads. He enjoys a bit of exploring and he is curious about his surroundings. Ory is able to stand upright on his back legs and he stretches up tall to see what’s on top on the sink or shelf; resembling a kangaroo, merecat or prairie dog! He does not seem interested or concerned about his foster family’s big dog. To Meet Ory is to Love Him at First Encounter. Ory has stolen the hearts of his foster family. He would make the perfect addition to a family that is as loving and gentle as he is, but who also enjoys a cat that is playful, loving, calm, and mellow.

Ory is a healthy boy, but he does have heart murmur. His heart size, shape, and rhythm appear normal, and the murmur does not have any impact on his daily life. His forever family will need take him in for his annual check ups.

Adoption Fees: All of our cats are spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, vaccinated (as age appropriate), tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV, given flea/tick & heartworm preventative, & fecal tested (dewormed if needed) before being adopted out. Orville's adoption fee is $100 including tax; adoptive homes are given all vet records at the adoption.
