Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi! My name is Xena (also known as Xena Bean by my foster family). I have had quite a tough life until All About Paws rescued me! I came from Joplin, MO - where I was kept outside in deplorable conditions. One day I got loose and had an accident, I can't quite remember when and what happened, but I was hurt very badly. A kind soul took me in and AAP got to me as fast as they could. They took me straight to the vet, where we found out my leg was shattered and would have to be amputated. Thank goodness that it is gone and I can run and have fun again! I'm learning a lot about being an inside family dog. Having not had anything in my first year, I had to learn to share toys, beds, and even my foster mom and dad. I learn very quickly and my 3 foster brothers finally let me play with them!! I even have kitty friends here! I gobble up all my food right away, so my foster family separates me while eating, so I don't have to worry about the other dogs sneaking a bite! I had an eye infection when I came into rescue which is all cleared up now. The vet says I have dry eye and require drops twice a day. I most likely will need these for the rest of my life. They make me feel so much better and I'm very behaved when the drops are put in. I love to snuggle and be near my foster family all the time. I also love to snuggle with my foster brothers, when they let me! I stay in a kennel when no one is home and I don't mind at all. I am doing very well with going potty outside. Sometimes I forget and have an accident, but when I am taken out on my leash regularly, I won't go in the house. I love bones and toys and you would never know I only have three legs, I'm quick!! I would love a forever family who wants to continue teaching me all the joys of being loved, could it be you? Xena is 1 years old and is up to date on all shots, heart worm negative, on heart worm preventative, de-wormed, spayed, and microchiped.
