Dandelion's Story...
Dandelion is a 4-year-old Ragdoll mix who is as handsome as they come! It can take a little while for him to warm up in new places, but once you have gained his trust, you have made a forever friend. He doesn't like other cats very well, but he gets along great with dogs, even large ones! It is recommended that he goes to a home without small children since he can be easily scared.

Please let us know you saw this cat on Adopt A Pet! All animals are spayed/ neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm and Feline leukemia/FIV negative, microchipped, and have current rabies vaccines. With all adoptions we offer a free vet exam to the vet of your choice in Alachua County. Please visit our website, www.hhrescue.com, or call us at 352-281-4358 or email us at helpinghandspetrescue@gmail.com for more information!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dandelion, a Gainesville Ragdoll cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Ragdoll for sale in Gainesville, or seeking a Ragdoll cat from a breeder in Gainesville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gainesville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gainesville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Ragdoll breeders who help with Ragdoll rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gainesville paves the way for another one to be saved.
