Jacob's Story...
BIO: Hi! I'm Jacob and I'm so happy to meet you! FOR rescued me from a rural shelter and helped me find a foster home. I love my foster family and I'm so thankful that they love me too! I really like people and dogs and even cats. My favorite playmates are my foster mom and my foster brothers Dino and Milo. I'd love to have a playmate at my forever home too. I hope I find a home where I can go for walks, play a lot and learn some cool tricks. My foster mom is teaching me some puppy tricks and thinks I'm a smart guy. And I'm getting pretty good at walking on a leash. I'm house trained and crate trained too! I'm just a happy guy with lots and lots of love to share with my forever family. I have already been neutered, I'm up to date on shots, microchipped, and heartworm negative. I'm currently fostered in Huntsville, Alabama but can be adopted to many different areas. If interested in me please fill out an application at http://forrescue.net/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=58&Itemid=14

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jacob, a Homewood Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Homewood, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Homewood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Homewood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Homewood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Homewood paves the way for another one to be saved.
