Meet Lilly, a sweet bundle of Springer energy who can't wait to meet her Forever Family.
This lovely girl came to ESRA when her owner decided that Lilly needed more opportunities. Sadly, Lilly had spent most of her time tied in the garage because she chased the family cats. To protect both Lilly and the cats, her owner decided to find her a new home.
Lilly loves to play. She is a high-energy dog and would do best with an active family and with opportunities to run and explore. Lilly would do well with a companion dog, ideally another young dog with a similar energy level. Lilly has done well with her two older foster sisters, but sometimes she gets bored with them. Lilly doesn't quite understand why anyone would want to nap when there is playing to do!
As Lilly spent the first part of her life as an outside dog, she still has some learning to complete. She is still working on housetraining, but she does well when she is on a consistent schedule. She stays in her crate when her foster family is out of the house. She stays out of her crate all night and has done well overnight without accidents. Lilly continues to work on basic commands (Sit is coming along well), typical household boundaries (staying off the counter and the table), and walking on a leash.
Lilly is excited to meet a Forever Family that is ready to appreciate her puppy energy, to guide her to be the best dog that she can be, and to love and cuddle her when the playing is done. If this describes your family, please contact her case managers right away. We will no doubt have many inquiries about this young charmer, so don't delay!
Please note that an approved adoption application is the first step in a more thorough interview process that is designed to match each dog to exactly the right family, and that the final decision rests with the dog's case manager.
Please read the Adoption FAQ and get an Adoption Application approved before inquiring about Lilly.
