Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Foofus's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, not good with dogs, and good with cats.

Foofus's Story...

Foofus (Confusious!), he is kinda shy and a very good hunter for mice!

He is very sweet and loving once he gets to know you. He may take a few days to adjust, but then you'll have a wonderful cat!  He comes from a litter of 5, who's owner passed away. He is neutered and house trained.  Adoption fee is $35 (each or 2/$50). He has always been inside and must be indoor only cat. Would prefer a home with no dogs, as he has never been around them and is very afraid of them.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Foofus, a Portland American Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Shorthair for sale in Portland, or seeking a American Shorthair cat from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Shorthair breeders who help with American Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
