My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

May 2014 update: Miss Bonnie's warm brown eyes are relaxing now and she is learning to trust humans. She already loves dogs and is ready for more exercise and fun times now that the weather is warming up. Her photos don't show the gorgeous chocolate in her coat as much as you can see in person. She is so beautiful!

March 2014 update: Bonnie has arrived in Maine! She is as sweet as can be and is coming out of her shell by the day. Her foster family has discovered that she LOVES to be outdoors and that she is completely outgoing and ready to play when she gets out on a hiking or skiing trail. When she is indoors she is more reserved - treats definitely help the process of approaching people with confidence, and she definitely does better in the presence of another dog.

The "B puppies" are 9 month old mixed breed sweeties (as of mid-February) who are sweet and shy. They sleep in their crates all night without a peep, and each of them weighs between 35 and 40 lbs (Bree is the smallest and Bennett is the biggest). Mom is a yellow lab and dad is unknown.

These sweeties need foster placement so that they can come north to safety and learn what it's like to live in indoor homes with families to love them permanently. There were originally 11 in their big litter, several were adopted, we have four here with us, and the rest are ready to come north and find their forever families too!

To apply to adopt this dog, please visit our web site to access our application and learn more about adoption through Lucky Pup Rescue, www.luckypuprescue.org, or request an application via email, luckypuprescue@yahoo.com.

Please note, we do not have a physical location, but we are supported by a network of wonderful foster homes that are spread throughout New England. A dog will need to be visited by a prospective adopter in the foster home where they are feeling safe and comfortable.

Thank you for considering rescue!
