Delilah's Story...
Delilah is a very calm & sweet 1 yr old Italian Greyhound mix female who weighs only 14 lbs & looks like a fawn or baby deer. She is housetrained, crate trained and walks well on a leash. Delilah is nervous about getting in a car but rides well after she gets in. She is a timid little girl who is learning to play with the other dogs in her foster home. Delilah is coming around very nicely! After just a few days, she is giving more affection to her foster mom and dad and she is playing very well with the other dogs.. She loves to sleep in the bed and goes to her crate now with just the word crate! So she is very smart. Come and meet this little gem!

As HAHS now has several adoption locations, please contact Candy or Mark at 816/916-3685 or lelandsable@comcast.net to find out when and where you can meet DELILAH!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Delilah, a Overland Park Italian Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Italian Greyhound for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Italian Greyhound dog from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Italian Greyhound breeders who help with Italian Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
