Chance is a handsome fellow! He is a a follower, a nuzzler and a cuddler of humans. He will wag his tail so hard that his back end moves with it. Here is what the southern rescuer has to say about Chance: "Chance is a laid back, calm and loving boy. He wants to please. He wears a perpetual look of worry as if wondering whether he is really good enough to have that perfect forever home. Every picture I snap of him has the same expression. He just doesn't seem to smile. Chance does not seem to be overly welcoming of other males his size, but he does seem to love the ladies though. He doesn't bark often but when he does, it's loud. and it's always for a reason, never just random barking. This boy is love, loyalty, devotion, and patience, in one beautiful 55 lb. package". Chances dream home will be one with love and attention. Does Chance sound like your kind of dog? Fill out an adoption application.

Unless otherwise indicated, all Double Dog Rescue dogs have received the following before being available for adoption:
Thorough veterinary examination
All routine annual vaccinations, including Rabies, DHLPP, Bordatella (kkennel cough), Heartworm Test, Fecal Test, Deworming
Spay/Neuter
All dogs are quarantined for two weeks outside of the shelter (puppies four weeks) to ensure they don't break with disease.
If any dog shows any signs of disease or ailment, DDR vets the dog until he or she has a clean bill of health to the best of our knowledge. This includes anything from being treated for Heartworm, Broken Leg, Cherry Eye, Torn ACL, Upper Respiratory etc.)
NOTE: Dogs who were treated for Heartworm can test positive up to 4-6 months after last treatment. All dogs are immediately put on Heartguard/Ivermectin following the treatment to kill the Heartworm larvae. All dogs should be re-tested after 4 months from the last Heartworm treatment.
