Meryl's Story...
Meryl is a lab/border collie mix puppy born 12/14/2013. Meryl and her siblings were named after Olympians who won gold and silver because we think they’re winners! Their mama was found and rescued, but unbeknownst to her rescuer she was in heat, and before they could even get her to a vet the neighbor’s Border Collie paid her a little visit. As soon as the puppies were ready their mama's owner brought them to us to find them wonderful homes. The adoption donation includes: Spay/neuter surgery, age appropriate vaccinations, microchipping/microchip registration, and flea/heartworm preventative up to the point of adoption. In the first 30 days after adoption we offer a free physical examination, nutritional assessment, and wellness consultation to help make sure that the new adoptee has the best start in life in their new home. There is a $20 discount on the total donation if you adopt two or more orphans at the same time. For those adopting puppies or kittens, they also get a 20% discount on vaccines to get them through their first year of life.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Meryl, a Dallas Labrador Retriever/Border Collie puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Border Collie for sale in Dallas, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Border Collie puppy from a breeder in Dallas.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Dallas already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Dallas breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Border Collie breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Dallas paves the way for another one to be saved.
