My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

When we saw Dundee, the dog with an embedded collar on a rescue page we had to help him. His eyes looked as though he had given up all hope. You could see the distrust in his eyes but that was understandable. Sad because he was just a pup when they put that collar on him and now it was embedded in his neck.

Dundee is now safe in a foster home. He was taken immediately to our vet, Dr. Ruth Wilburn at Olive Branch Animal Clinic. He was sedated and the embedded collar was removed. The collar would have fit a JRT not a 50 pound dog. The nylon collar still had another 4-5 inches that could have been let out.

Dundee Is like a new dog, able to stretch his head up high since he's had plenty of time to heal up now. He's been to adoption events and is learning to trust humans more each day. He is an amazing dog that survived all odds and is very grateful to be rescued.

Dundee appears to be an Australian Shepherd mix with a nub tail and gorgeous grey eyes. He is about a year old now, current on all his vaccines, neutered, micro-chipped and current on all his preventatives. He loves other dogs and has had no potty accidents in his foster home. He does fine in a crate when your gone to work but loves to just hang out with his foster mom and the other dogs when you're home. He has a lot of puppy in him and will occasionally try to steal items off the coffee table. He's learned a few commands as well....leave it, sit, kennel, outside, wait, okay and come.

His adoption fee is $120.
