My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I am Pet Of The Month (April 2014), at Sunshine Rescue Group.

HELLO! My name is Parker. I am a distinguished 11 year young gray tabby. I lived most of my life in a house with a loving dad and 13 other siblings. We all got along great and life was good. Unfortunately my dad has become seriously ill. Because of his illness, he was forced to find new homes for all of us. A few of my siblings have found homes already, but the rest of us were split up and taken to different shelters and rescue groups.

When I was brought to Sunshine Rescue Group they did a wellness check for me at a local veterinary clinic and they said my teeth were in need of a major cleaning. Maybe that’s why I was looking a little sad when I first arrived; not only had I lost my home, dad, and siblings, my teeth were really hurting too.

I’m feeling great now that I’ve had my dental. They were able to get my teeth cleaned even though a few had to be extracted. Prior to my dental surgery, I was given a blood panel which came back normal. I am a really easygoing and affectionate cat. I like to spend my time now relaxing on my cat tree and welcoming everyone that comes to pet me.
