Molly's Story...
Molly is a 7 year old Aussie that was surrendered when her owner moved. She is a sweet girl who loves to shake as you can see from her pictures. She sits and immediately tries to give you her paw. She is quiet, calm, and loving. Molly is house trained and great with other animals. Dog adoption is 100.00 and includes spay/neuter, heartworm testing, age appropriate vaccines including a 3 year rabies, health exam, deworming, and microchipping. Any animal 6 months or older is considered an adult. No animals are vetted until they are adopted as we do not have a vet on staff. Once the animal is adopted we make a vet appointment, and they must go to be vetted before they can go home with an adopter. Call 985.651.7387 for more information regarding adoption.

Act quickly to adopt Molly. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Molly, a Laplace Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Laplace, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Laplace.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Laplace already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Laplace breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Laplace paves the way for another one to be saved.
