My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

The name is Hobo and I am a proud, dignified, dog with some Shepherd in my mix. I was an unclaimed stray but not to worry, one person’s trash is someone else’s treasure. And the people around here think I am quite the treasure. I was at the SPCA Valleyfield since November with no luck in finding an adoptive home; just so many dogs and not enough decent homes! I am looking for a good human who will keep me safe, give me a warm bed and good food, and love me like I deserve. If you adopt me, please give me a home for the rest of my life. All dogs ought to have a home with a family that will responsibly care for and love them for their entire life. I am about 4.5 years old; adopting a mature dog is perfect for someone who is trying to avoid the rambunctiousness of a puppy. Don’t get me wrong, I have plenty of energy for nice long walks and I will chase a ball or play Frisbee but I have the great attitude of a dog that has been around the block a few times. I get along well with other dogs and personality wise, they don’t come much better than me. Even though humans have let me down in the past, there is lots of sparkle in my eyes and wag in my tail for you. I also promise to not chew your shoes and I already know what “no” means. Please, just give me a chance. No doubt about it, I will be quite the catch. So, don’t dilly-dally, fill in that adoption form so that I can turn the page and start my new life.
