My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there folks, they call me Gramps. I’m a funny and sweet 14 year old senior dog that weighs about 60 lbs. I’m looking for a forever home to happily live out the rest of my life. This is my second chance and I plan to make the best of it. My first owner decided after so many years that they didn't want me anymore because I’m old and a little wobbly on my legs, so they decided to drop me off into a random back yard to die. They said that 'if he causes any problems, we can come shoot him.'
I felt abandoned by my own family, but thank goodness some really nice girls found me living in a garage with two other younger dogs and decided to help all 3 of us out. The Youngens have found forever homes but I’m still here in my TN foster home. While it is really nice here, I would love to find my own forever home really soon, so I know I can live the rest of my life there without ever worrying about being dumped again. I love all people and dogs and still have a big and humorous personality. I still love to go on short walks just to see what other things are going on around me, but after about 10 minutes I’m ready to lay back down and doze the day away. But as soon as you show me a treat or my food, I am ready to get up and dance for you. I would be most happy if you don’t have any long stairs that I have to climb every day, because my hips are not what they used to be, so I have trouble with stairs if it’s more than a couple of steps at a time. I will gladly accept hugs and kisses, but just as easily enjoy just being near you while I doze. I promise I won’t be any trouble….did I mention I like to doze a lot? I even like to sleep in a crate now where I’m comfy cozy when I take my naps. Everyone that meets me falls in love with me, and I’m sure so will you once you meet me in person. ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.
