Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Katrina, deserted, pregnant, starving and out of luck. Fortunately, she was found and brought to the shelter. It wasn't enough to help her pups, none survived. She was once again alone. Her wonderful foster family has worked hard to bring her back to a healthy weight. Her coat is shiny and her energy is back!
Katrina is a hound mix about 1.5- 2 years old. She is timid in the house and loves the outdoors. She is being fostered with 4 children (one under 2yrs.) and is wonderful with all of them, especially the baby. Katrina gets along with other dogs too!
She is house trained and has shown no chewing instincts when unattended.
She would do best in a house where people are around and who can continue to socialize her to overcome her timidness. She loves to bask outside in the sun, but her favorite spot in the house is next to her people, snuggling.
This sweet girl deserves the life every dog should have: freedom to play outside, unconditional love, warm safe home; not the life she was destined for as a breeding dog.
With such a great disposition, Katrina would make a wonderful addition to a family.
