Here's what the humans have to say about me:
I showed up in a feral cat colony in Albany, but I was friendly, so the volunteers who trapped me asked AnimaLovers to find me a safe home.
I’m social, charming and easy-going, and love being petted. I also like being picked up and cuddled, but my very favorite thing is to plop next to you to read or watch TV. I’ll sit with you forever.
You need to know that I have something called FIV: feline immunodeficiency virus. There are a lot of misconceptions about FIV. It is contagious to other cats (not dogs or people), but it isn’t spread by eating from the same bowl or grooming; it’s spread by deep bite wounds when unneutered cats fight over “the ladies”. Being FIV positive does mean I have a compromised immune system, and if I’m exposed to disease I may catch it more easily than a non-FIV positive cat. That’s why it’s important that I live inside and get good vet care, like routine shots – but you’d do that anyway, right?
I hope you’ll join AnimaLovers in their hopes of getting more FIV-positive cats great homes—and, you can start with me!! Call 348-3903, and press 1 to meet me!
