My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I will shower you with kisses and make you laugh at my silly antics!

Hi I’m Minnie and I’m a 5 year old Chihuahua who is pretty new to the Boise, Idaho area. I’m a recent transplant from California; not that California isn’t nice but I got so tired of everyone calling me Minnie Mouse I decided to come visit Idaho; once I got here I decided I couldn’t leave. All the trees, grass, animal smells are amazing and I have met just the nicest people here.

I’m trying to find a new place to crash at and I’m hoping you can help. Now I do admit that having come from the big city I learned to not trust everyone on first meeting and I’m working on letting my guard down. However I can tell you that once we meet and you show me you are trustworthy I will be your BEST friend forever. I am one very loyal girl and I make a darn good bestie.

I know what you are thinking; Chihuahua’s are needy, needy little things and oh so dainty. Not so with me I’m a hearty little dog; not too skittish or fragile. I’m not the needy type but I do like a good lap to lay in and of course my favorite spot in on the couch under a blanket (this Idaho weather is a bit chilly for me). And if I do say so myself I’m one darn good roommate and am quiet too.

Be warned to I do to live some place that can keep up with me; I’m an active girl with a ton of energy and I like to stay busy. Don’t take that to mean that I’m one of those hyper dogs, I just like to be doing something; I like to take at least one day walk and I really like to play. My favorite toy is the flirt pole and of course a good game of "Chase". I enjoy camping and outdoor activities, and can be trusted in camp and on hikes to stay close by. I am not a "purse dog"; I’m independent and adventurous.

I can be a bit pushy when I don’t want to do something; can’t we all and sometimes I throw a bit of “attitude” with the lady I’m living with. But I just get frustrated sometimes when the house rules aren’t clear and if I don’t get all my zoomies out.

My only real bad habit is that once in a great while I don’t like to go outside to “do my business”; I’m telling you this Idaho cold weather is for the birds. But I’m slowly getting used to it.

I currently live with 2 dogs and 2 cats and does fine with all of them; however we think she would like to be someone's one and only. I also live with 2 humans (my foster mom and foster dad) and I like them a lot. I’ve decided that I do not want to live with kids – to noisy, stinky and they are always messing up that house.

So that is all there is to know about me; I hope you might consider me coming to live with you; it’s time for me to have a home of my own; I’ve been homeless to long.

Oh almost forgot my friends at Fuzzy Pawz Rescue (they are kind of like an animal real estate agents) wanted me to mention these things to you also:

I’ve been microchipped, spayed, vaccinated and recently had my teeth cleaned; not sure why that is important seems like too much information but there you have it.

You can meet me by filling out this adoption application at http://www.fuzzypawzrescue.com/adoptionapplication.htm

And lastly there is a $40 adoption fee for me (consider it a finders fee).
