found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.
Here is what else Bella's foster family had to say about her:
Bella is healthy and there is already a little shine coming back to her coat. I would describe Bella's energy level as moderate to high. Bella's shedding is moderate to low.
Bella has proven herself to be a very friendly and sociable girl. She loves people of all ages including children. She is not shy but was unsure when she first arrived and would duck her head if you lifted your arm to quickly. Now that she has settled in and feels safe, she enjoys meeting new people and seems quite confident. She is friendly and affectionate with visitors to the home. We do not have any other pets in our home, however she interacts really well with the other dogs in the dog park.
She loves to play with her toys, go on walks, play at the dog park and be cuddled! Bella is very quiet in the house. The only time she barks is if she sees other dogs/people go by, and then it's not very loud barking. She has been fine with all the loud noises in the home (vacuum, blender etc) and does not seem nervous at all. When we leave the home she will whine for a little bit but soon settles down and is fine.
Bella has perfect house manners. She does not steal food, counter surf or beg for food while you're eating. She has not tried to get up on the furniture and is overall a wonderful dog to have in the home. She does know some basic commands such as sit and down. She was a little rusty at first but is an intelligent dog who is willing to learn and eager to please. She seems to pick things up quite quickly and I think would do really well with some additional training. She is fully house trained. We only put her a crate at night to sleep, or if we are both going out. She is quite happy to be in there but if we are at home she prefers to be out and on her bed by the window.
Bella is a strong dog and can pull sometimes when walked on the leash, but is already showing signs of improvement. We have tried her with a gentle leader which helps, but she doesn't really like it. I think with some more training though she would be just fine on the leash. She loves to ride in the car - initially she wouldn't jump into the hatchback, but now she has the hang of it. We do secure her because she has tried to climb over onto the back seat, but I think once she is used to where she should be, she wouldn't need to be secured.
Bella is a wonderful dog and each day she becomes more confident and happy. She really is part of the family and a pleasure to have around. I think she would do well in a family that has older children rather than toddlers as she can sometimes get a little excited, although she usually calms down quite quickly. A secure, fenced yard where she can run would be great too, as she is a large dog and likes to play and let off some steam. She is very loving and adores being made a fuss of, but she is also good at entertaining herself with her toys. Bella has really blossomed since she joined us, and she will make a lucky family the most wonderful companion.
