Wes is a male Labrador Retriever mix approximately 5 years in age. He is a big boy, weighing in at 65 pounds full grown. Wes is a true delight in every way. He is most definitely the ultimate family dog. Wes is great with kids and very loveable. He enjoys attention and has a sweet, affectionate, baby dog side. Wes has no problem rolling onto his back for a good belly rub if there is one being offered. He gladly accepts all forms of love and is patient and tolerant. Wes is housebroken and has good behavior inside the home. He loves to be included in daily family life. Wes is excellent with all other dogs, big and small. He likes to play and will gladly romp around with a willing partner, or if not he is happy to simply trot around with a toy in his mouth. Wes is fabulous with dogs of any temperament and handles all social interactions in a friendly, mellow, easy way. He just keeps wagging his tail and grinning his silly doggie grin. He seems to really enjoy the company of another dog, even if the activity is just hanging out. Wes is a perfect gentleman out in public and you can take him anywhere. He rides beautifully in the car without a peep and walks well on leash. Wes has a nice balance of lazy couch potato inside the home, and energetic enthusiasm out and about. He would love to go to the park, hike, dog beach, kids after school games, or even camping. He is a wonderful, well balanced boy. Wes is healthy and ready for his new forever home today!

Wes’s adoption donation is $400 (*TAX DEDUCTABLE). He has been NEUTERED, MICROCHIPPED, VACCINATED, DEWORMED, DEFLEAED and PROFESSIONALLY GROOMED. Also included is his collar with ID, harness, leash, folder with all of his records, a great PETCO coupon book, and a fun goodie bag with toys, etc.

Wes is being fostered by Pet Match Rescue Foster Volunteer, Cecilia and is ready for his forever home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

WES, a Newport Beach Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Newport Beach, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Newport Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newport Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newport Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newport Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
