Facts about Austin

  • Breed: Belgian Malinois/Shepherd (Unknown Type) Mix
  • Color: Tan/Yellow/Fawn - With Black
  • Age: Young
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Male
Austin is a smart, young, healthy 1.5 yr. old medium- large size male shepherd mix. The right situation for Austin should be a home with a fenced yard. He likes to bond to "his person" and definitely wants some adventure added to his life. Older kids would be OK- and no cats. He can be either an only pet or paired with a female, similar size dog. He needs regular exercise and outdoor- type activities. An active person or couple would be ideal for him. He is mostly shepherd and as such he has many shepherd traits, so someone experienced with this breed is a plus. Please note that Austin is being fostered in Vermont. Austin is crate trained, housetrained, neutered, microchipped, and current on basic vaccines. If you can provide the right kind of home for Austin, please fill out an adoption application at our site @ www.PeisandStrays.com. He's waiting for you!

About Peis & Strays - VT

About Our Rescue Group...

Peis and Strays is a non-profit all-volunteer organization. It was established by a small group of individuals in the New England area with the intent of helping Chinese Shar Pei find loving homes.

Peis and Strays relies on donations, fund-raising activities and adoption fees for its income. We do not receive any state or federal funds. All donations directly benefit the dogs in our adoption program. We are a 501c3 organization, so your donations are tax deductible. We are always in need of donations and committed volunteers like ourselves. For more information about us, please email us at: info@peisandstrays.com

Come Meet Our Pets...

We do not have a shelter in any specific location, all of our dogs are cared for by foster families in their homes, across New England. Since the dogs are all cared for by private foster families, we ask that the adopter fill out an application before they meet a dog, to show that they are truly interested in adopting.

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption process includes an application (http://www.peisandstrays.com/adoptions.php), a home visit and the vet reference. Further information about our adoption policies are located at: http://www.peisandstrays.com/adoptinfo.php.
