Update 3/9/2016: Lewis is thought to be 12-14 years old now although he acts much younger and maybe he is. He was surrendered from a commercial breeding facility and is really doing great. Although he doesn’t ask to be picked up, he does LOVE to lay around on the couch and play with the other little dogs in the foster home. He is fine with other dogs, cats and pretty much everyone. He is doing pretty good with house training although I put a belly band on him to stop him from “marking”. He does like to be outside in nice weather and was even playing with Gordy last week. I don’t know if he will ever be “fully” housetrained, but he definitely knows to go potty when he goes out. He is completely vetted and would love a home of his own! When his hair is short, he looks like a poodle, but if his hair grows out, he looks more like a cockapoo! Whatever his breed, he is a sweet little guy!

Original Posting: Lew is a 8-10 year old poodle/maltese mix. He is a puppy mill survivor so is still scared. He is a good little guy though, never any biting or nipping. He just cowers when you try to pet him. He does however, go outside now. He likes to get treats for going out, he is not 100% reliable about pottying outside, but he does go out to potty. He is neutered, up to date with shots, microchipped, hw negative and has had a dental. He is completely vetted and ready for a new home. If you are intersted in Lew, go to www.hubbardshounds.com and submit an application. NO PHONE CALLS ACCEPTED!

Adoption donation is $150.00

About Hubbards Hounds Dog Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

The rescue was started in 2008 and we are dedicated to providing shelter dogs, puppy mill dogs, and owner turn-ins a second chance at a good life. Director Susan Hubbard will do everything possible to ensure the care of a dog. I own 3 rescue dogs and a rescued cat, all adopted from rescues or shelters. Every dog is important and the right home is out there for all of them! "Saving one dog at a time"

Come Meet Our Pets...

We don't have a kennel, meeting a dog can be arranged by appointment once an application has been submitted and approved.

Our Adoption Process...

This rescue group does have a contract and donation requirement to adopt a dog. This helps us to ensure the dogs safety for the remainder of his/her life and to continue to rescue dogs in need to rehome them. An applicaton must be filled out on our website www.hubbardshounds.com, references checked, an interview done and a home visit check.
