Malcom's Story...
Courtesy Listing for a partner vet Homestead Animal Hospital
Malcom is a sweet boy! A young Shih Tzu that was left over the fence at the vet office. He is now neutered and vaccinated. He will be microchipped prior to adoption. Malcom just loves people! He will make a great pet. He needs a few days to settle into his new home and then he will be like he always lived there! Malcom is now in a foster home while he waits for adoption. He walks great on leash, does super in a car, and is dog and kid friendly. He is crate trained and learning to be house trained too. His foster mom says his personality is 'just chill'. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Malcom, a Homestead Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Homestead, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Homestead.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Homestead already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Homestead breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Homestead paves the way for another one to be saved.
