Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet handsome Duke! This charmer is such a sweetheart and is so much fun! Duke was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Texas and is now looking for his loving forever home! We think he is a pit/lab mix and he's approximately 2 years old. He is great with all other dogs and people, including children! He's a bit curious and crazy with cats, but he's learning. Duke is house/crate trained, great on a leash, and knows how to sit! He's currently living in a foster home with 2 other dogs, so he's learning more and more every day! Duke is already neutered, fully vaccinated, and heart worm negative so he's ready to go!
Our adoption process begins with you meeting Duke. Feel free to schedule a play date with him and your existing pets. After you fill out an application, we will verify your references and do a brief home inspection. If all goes well, we will deliver Duke to you for a small adoption fee. You will also have the option to purchase a large wire kennel for an additional fee. We then ask that you sign our adoption contract. We will also do a follow-up visit approximately two weeks to one month after the adoption to insure that Duke is adjusting well to his new home and that he is happy and healthy.
We feel our adoption process is the best way to vet good owners and to guard against people seeking dogs for dog fighting, bait dogs, and/or dog sales. We only have our rescue dogs' best interests in mind and we do everything we can to insure that they go to the very best home and that it's the perfect fit.
