DEMPSEY's Story...
DEMPSEY is a labrador retriever mix pup born on December 13, 2013. His mama was a black lab/hound mix and although we're not absolutely certain, his daddy might have been a white Husky or German Shepherd mix. Dempsey has that husky "look" and is vocal like a husky. He is one of a litter of nine. He is smart, confident, playful and crate-trained for nighttime sleeping. He has been de-wormed, has had his first two sets of puppy shots and is current on monthly flea/heartworm preventives. This is a courtesy posting. This dog is not affiliated with P.S. I Love You! Animal Rescue but is fostered by another party. For more information, please contact Janel Miller at dogrefuge@gmail.com.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

DEMPSEY, a Glastonbury Labrador Retriever/Husky puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Husky for sale in Glastonbury, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Husky puppy from a breeder in Glastonbury.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Glastonbury already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Glastonbury breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Husky breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Glastonbury paves the way for another one to be saved.
