UPDATE- Anna had her tumor removed and surgery went well. It was a cancerous tumor and even though they got clean margins it could come back or spread at some point although there are no signs of that right now. We are hoping someone will find it in their heart to give Anna a loving home for whatever time she has...
Poor Anna's world has been turned upside down when her owners brought her to a local shelter to drop her off because she was moving. We couldn't turn our backs on her and took her into foster instead. She is a unique ~7 year old mix who looks like a dachshund/pug/Chihuahua? mix and is under 15lbs fully grown. Sadly her previous owners did not provide proper medical care and she has a fairly large mammary tumor that they reported she had for at least 2-3 years but they never did anything about. She is going to our vet ASAP to get checked out and have it removed and biopsied so stay tuned for updates and she will hopefully be available through Second Chance Pet Adoption League soon! We are in need of donations for her medical care which we expect to be at least $500... please donate through our website www.secondchance.petfinder.com. She is nervous and used to a quiet adult home so would do well in a similar situation. Thank you for helping us help this poor girl who has been let down by everyone in her life so far...
We do not have a shelter- all our pets are in foster homes and can be seen by appointment only during the week, or at our weekly pet adoptions every Sunday at the Animal Clinic of Morris Plains from 12:30 to 3PM at 3009 Route 10 East next to 5 Star Car Wash (formerly Boulder Car Wash) in Morris Plains (Denville on GPS).
