I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Yukon's Story...
Pictured here is Yukon, who took a 14-hour drive from Northern Quebec where he was slated to be shot to come to Kiko. Yukon appears to be mostly Yellow Lab with a dash of Husky, about 2 years old, and weighs in at 70 pounds. He adapted very well to the other three dogs at the foster home and is clean in the house. While likely not used to being on leash, the foster reports that Yukon is very polite and does not pull much at all. Yukon has been to the vet for his exam, vaccinations, heartworm test and neutering, and has a clean bill of health. This friendly dog will make a great family pet! We are very grateful that we were able to take Yukon in on short notice, and give him the chance of a life he so deserves.

All Kiko dogs have been examined by a veterinarian, vaccinated, dewormed, tested for heartworm, sterilized, and require an adoption fee of $400 ($275 for senior dogs and $125 for cats) and an adoption contract.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Yukon, a Rigaud Labrador Retriever/Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Husky for sale in Rigaud, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Husky dog from a breeder in Rigaud.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rigaud already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rigaud breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Husky breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rigaud paves the way for another one to be saved.
