This very handsome young man is Vale, a 3 year old boxer/dogue de bordeaux mix that came to us from our Newark facility in hopes of getting himself a wonderful home. Poor Vale was found in such terrible shape.....this sweet boy was found wandering aimlessly in a park in Newark, completely emaciated and down on his luck. It seemed that someone must have dumped him there, because he didn't seem to have it in him to wander off on his own. Vale got lots of good medical care and plenty of good meals, and now he is with us at Popcorn Park and ready to start life over. Vale is such a gentle guy. He is a little shy at first and when he is in his run, he will slowly approach you to sniff you, then run the other way, but if you walk away, he runs back with his tail wagging. He just loves people and wants to be friends with everyone, but needs encouragement to let him know that it's ok. He just loves going for walks and checking out the world around him. He is curious and enjoys sniffing the trees on our walking path to see who was there before him. Vale is well behaved and although he is strong, he walks well on a leash and will sit nicely when asked. Vale doesn't seem to mind other dogs much and would love a home with a nice yard to run and play in, and enjoy himself like a young pup should.
