This little cutie is Dudette, an adorable mixed breed who looks like a little black bear, but we're pretty sure she's really more of the canine variety! Her breed, on the other hand, is anybody's guess, though she may have some husky in her like her brother. She is a tiny 4 1/2 pounds and still has a lot of maturing to do, so anyone who adopts her must take pot luck as to her ultimate size and looks. She is a typical young puppy, full of puppy sweetness and puppy energy. Because she is still very much a baby, she must go to a home with a stay-at-home person to implement her housebreaking, socialization and general obedience. She will be ready for puppy school right after adoption.

You can meet little Dudette at Wilmette Pet Center, 625 Green Bay Road, anytime during store hours 7 days a week. (847-251-6750 www.wilmettepetcenter.com). Although you may want to adopt her on the spot, please know that you will have to go through the application process first.

Dudette's estimated date of birth is 12/17/13 and her adoption fee of $350 includes: vet exam, DAPP (distemper combo) vaccination, bordetella vaccination, microchip, deworming and spay.
