Here's what the humans have to say about me:
HAMPTON, now Bartlett, is a 9 1/2 year young yellow male. He is coming back to LR as he cannot navigate the stairs in his adopters house any longer. Bartlett is a total sweetheart of a dog, who just wants to be always at the side of his human companions. He has never met a person he did not like! He loves attention, especially a good ear rub, and will give you a paw to urge you to continue to pet him if you stop. These days he is largely a couch potato, and spends much of the day snoozing, but he prefers to do that with his family close by. He is great with kids of all ages (although can be a bit clumsy on his feet these days, so he just needs a little help to make sure he does not accidentally knock little ones down). Bartlett is also very food motivated. He does like to get out for walks/sniffing around, though usually he is happy to do his business fairly quickly and keep those walks short. He loves to swim. Bartlett cannot do stairs anymore, owing to his arthritis, and although he manages to get around on hard wood floors, he has a definite preference for carpet.
This dog is available for adoption from Lab Rescue LRCP. The rescue has around 50 dogs available for adoption.
If you are interested in adopting, please visit www.lab-rescue.org and complete an adoption application. Within a few days of submitting an application you will hear from an Adoption Coordinator who will guide you through the adoption process.
An adoption fee is charged to cover the cost of veterinary care and a house check is required.
