Ace's Story...
AVAILABLE 02-26-14 When his owner became ill and could no longer care for Ace, a kind friend took him into her home. She loved and cared for Ace for 6 months when her son developed an allergy to dogs; so she had to bring Ace to the Shelter. Ace is a 3 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier who has been neutered and his shots are up to date. He's housetrained, is great on a leash and friendly with kids, cats and other dogs. He enjoys, car rides, leash walks, belly rubs and lounging. In the words of the caretaker - "Ace is an easy walker and would make a great companion for someone who is looking for a laid back dog". Ace tested negative for heart worms and is on preventative. Don't miss coming to the Shelter in Elizabeth City and taking Ace for a walk, you might just decide to take him home with you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ace, a Elizabeth City Staffordshire Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Staffordshire Bull Terrier for sale in Elizabeth City, or seeking a Staffordshire Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Elizabeth City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elizabeth City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elizabeth City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Staffordshire Bull Terrier breeders who help with Staffordshire Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elizabeth City paves the way for another one to be saved.
